Who I am

I'm Matt Hydes, a DJ based in Knutsford, Cheshire. I look after the details you send through this website, and you can reach me about them at hello@matthydes.com.

What the booking form collects

When you check a date, the form sends me your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, the kind of event, the date, the venue or town, roughly how many guests, the times you need covered, what you're after and anything else you tell me. Nothing else is collected from the form.

I use it to reply about your date and, if you book, to plan and play your event. The tick at the end of the form is you asking me to reply, and that is the reason I hold your details.

Where it goes

Your enquiry is emailed to me through Mailgun, an email delivery service, and you get a short email back to say it has arrived. The website is built and hosted for me by KLYK Digital.

Messages you send through the forms on this website are kept in KLYK Digital's secure system, so that Matt can keep track of them and reply. They are deleted 24 months after they have been dealt with.

The email is kept the same way: until I've dealt with your enquiry, then deleted 24 months later. If you book, I keep the details of your booking for as long as I need them to play your event and for my accounts. Your details are never sold or passed on to anyone else.

The mixes

The mixes play through Mixcloud's own player, which loads from Mixcloud only when you press play. Until then nothing from Mixcloud is on the page. Once it has loaded, Mixcloud may keep a small amount of information in your browser through that player, under its own privacy policy. The links to Mixcloud, SoundCloud, Instagram and Facebook take you to those sites, which have policies of their own.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies, does not identify you and does not follow you across other websites.

There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete them, or object to how I use them, at any time, by emailing hello@matthydes.com. If you're unhappy with how your details have been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
